Fiona Vilmer

Fiona Vilmer is an independent curator and art writer based in Paris. She works with institutions and projects space, writes for exhibitions, publications and artists. Besides this practice she works as an archivist for various archival fonds and publications.

Co-founder of Three dice, a bilingual publishing collection founded in 2023 with Sophie Vinet. Three Dice is dedicated to artists’ publications and adopts heterogeneous formats combining essays, poetry, selected writings and free forms. Purposefully eschewing any singular thematic focus or specialized approach, Three Dice directs its attention towards questions related to artistic, curatorial, poetic and research practices, through a deliberately subjective approach. In collaboration with the Bains-Douches in Alençon, Three Dice is evolving as an entity that is both independent from and complementary to the art center.

This free publication is published to accompany the exhibition Divinités, fleurs, plis et replis at the Bains-Douches from 25 June to 1 August 2021. With Sosthène Baran, Thomas Gaugain, Arthur Marie, Jade Moulin, Léa Nugue, Alice Quentel, Camille Soulat. The artists presented were born in the 1990s and most of them are recent graduates of art schools, ESAM Caen/Cherbourg, EESAB Rennes, ESAA Annecy, ESADHaR Rouen/ Le Havre.
